Highway 61 Construction continues

The following updates are from MNDOT.

Hwy 61 – Split Rock River to Chapin’s Curve
Description: Reconstruct roadway, replace bridge, improve pedestrian/bike trails, maps and additional information
Construction Dates: April 2010 – August 2011
Impacts: Lane restrictions, flaggers

Hwy 61 from three to six miles north of Tofte
Description: Reconstruction
Construction Dates: April – July 2010
Traffic Impacts: Bypasses, lane restrictions, flaggers

Hwy 61 – 13 miles north of Grand Marais to 3 miles south of Hovland
Description: Replace and repair box culverts
Construction Dates: May – September
Impacts: Lane restrictions, flaggers

Hwy 61 – Lester River Bridge in Duluth
Description: Preserve historic integrity and repair bridge
Construction Dates: June – September
Impacts: Detour, lane restrictions, flaggers

Hwy 61 –Duluth to Two Harbors
Description: Construct turn lanes
Construction Dates: July – August
